Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. The decisive factor is whether a personal reference can be established through the collected data. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address. Information that is not directly associated with your real identity - such as favourite websites or number of users of a site - is not personal data.
We process your personal data in compliance with the data protection laws of the Federal Republic of Germany and the data protection regulations of the European Union. The data will only be processed and evaluated within the scope of this e-learning offer. Under no circumstances will we pass on your personal data to third parties.
The following data is stored in the server log files by the website operator:
Browser type and browser version
Operating system used
Referrer URL
Host name of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
This data cannot be assigned to specific persons. The collection of this data serves, for example, to detect attacks on the server. The log files are automatically deleted after 180 days.
The online course is managed in the Moodle system version 3.8. The collected data will be collected electronically via secure internet connections, based on a digital certificate and using the SSL communication protocol, and stored on a server of ScanPlus ( https://www.scanplus.de/) provided by Soon-Systems.
We use your personal data to enable you to use the internet services of the platform, which require registration.
Furthermore, you can receive information or hints via your e-mail address, which have a thematic reference to the online courses you have attended.
In general, your data is not visible to non-users of the platform.
If you call up a CASUS learning case from the learning platform (currently offered in individual courses), you agree that your first name, surname and e-mail address are transferred to https://www.casus.eu or https://lmu.casus.net/ and processed there for the intended purpose. The data protection declaration of the provider CASUS applies.
If you create a Zoom meeting (video conference) or call up a Zoom meeting from the learning platform, you agree that your first name, surname and e-mail address are transferred to https://zoom.us/ and processed there for the intended purpose. The terms of use, data usage instructions and data protection information for the use of Zoom, which you can find under this link, apply and which you agree to.
Stored personal data will be deleted if you revoke your consent to storage, if knowledge of the data is no longer required to fulfil the purpose for which it was stored or if storage is not permitted for other legal reasons. Data for accounting and bookkeeping purposes are not affected by a request for deletion.
We have taken extensive precautions to protect the security of your data as a user of the online course. In all areas of the platform where personal data is processed, we use the industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to encrypt this data. Our EDP systems are protected against data loss and data misuse in accordance with the current state of the art.
Only registered users can work on the platform. Communication with the learning management system takes place during registration via an encrypted and authenticated connection. The course rooms themselves are protected against indexing by search engines. A daily backup is created for any necessary restoration of the system; the backups are kept for 5 days.
In order to access the platforms on which the data can be retrieved, individual access data are required, which are only issued to employees authorized by us. There is also an authorisation system within the Moodle platforms. This system assigns certain roles to the employees of our organisation and to the users.
